In this 3 hour class Ivo will take you through the basics of maintaining and servicing your motorbike to keep it in the best possible condition and save you hundreds of pounds on mechanics fees.

 as a motorbike mechanic and has created this class using his extensive knowledge to provide you with what he feels is most important as a motorbike rider looking to care for their bike better.

-Clean your bike without damaging bearings or the electrics.
-Make daily and monthly maintenance checks and why they are so important.
-Perform a basic service.
-Diagnose basic issues so you can decide if it's something you can fix yourself or requires going to a professional.

The class is held at the Lions' Den London fabrication workshop where the atmosphere is welcoming, friendly and relaxed. You will be one of a small group of people all looking to learn the same things with similar experience.

The main aim here is to provide you with a little knowledge to make your bike run better and potentially save you money in the future.

All the equipment is provided, all you need to do is show up!


Motorcycle servicing and maintenance

This class is for beginners but is open to those who already know how to weld and want to improve their skill set.

We will start with the machine settings for welding mild steel, discuss your body positioning, how to hold and move with the torch and the types of weld joints you may come across.

You will then have a go at striking the arc and moving the weld puddle along to create a bead without filler rod. Once you're comfortable with that you will do the same but this time with some mild steel filler. 

Dan will then show you how to tack pieces together before having a go at welding an outside corner joint. 

You will finish the lesson by welding your own metal dice to take home. You can keep it raw with the welding marks on it or for a small surcharge have it sanded and powder coated in a finish of your choice.

The session focuses on meditative, relaxing techniques as we build still-life compositions. Building from very quick warm-up drawing exercises gradually up to a 20 minute sustained drawing.

The event price includes basic drawing materials, but you’re welcome to bring along any dry media that you’d like to work with (basically anything that won’t spill on you or the floor!)
