Small to medium batch production.
With the machines we have here at Lions' Den we can produce prototype work as well as small to medium batch production. We work with an array of metals depending on your requirements and can aid in the R&D stages of the project if you need us to.
Milling machine
We have a Bridgeport Mill. Some may consider it an antique up against CNC but it is a much loved machine in this workshop.
Previous work has included these clamps for a gallery in London to allow them to fix labels to the display stands. These were machined in aluminium as they were to be welded to aluminium label backing plates and then powder coated.
Metal Lathe
Our Colchester lathe has put in the hours on a variety of pieces.
We have made a lot of these standoffs for artworks. Perspex is mounted to them in front of the artwork to protect it. Material, finish and dimensions can all be customised to suit.
The ones shown here were finished as satin raw aluminium.
Brass fittings
These brass bushings were made for a very special project for a dog called Lola. That's right, you heard correctly.
